Not really sure I want to open my iMac to put in a new wifi card, though, so I guess I'll just have to live with El Capitan until this iMac bites the dust completely and I'm forced to get a new iMac (if Apple will still be making them by the time that happens ) or get a newer, used one someplace. They work fine as surfing machines, but 10.7 won't have the latest Safari, so Chrome or Firefox is recommended.

E.G. From what I see it started having GPU failures (lines on screen - but not in safeboot) Seeing all the common GPU failures with those models and even with newer ones, I will not be investing in a $2000 machine with Apple anymore. I was thinking of possibly using the iMac for storage and display of security cameras, but that's a lot of money I would have to spend and the only reason I would do it is to make use out of the old iMac, which seems counter productive.
