What would our nation be like if all the children rebelled against their parents?
We had a great relationship; we still do.
take something with a pinch of salt. I never rely on one translation alone.
as holy Job reasons with himself, Job 31:13,14. Also for all my sisters & brothers here on this site!! I have read that the NIV has a lot of missing versus/text.
for what is your reason? Please try again.Such methods are not limited to just creationists.
Only Jesus is righteous. The emphatic jumps out here concerning the proclamation about “HIS Righteousness”. Second, Mat 16:18. Thankfully, we’re not under the Mosaic law any more and it couldn’t help us anyway (Eph 2:8-9).
Never does the Bible say that. Thanks Steven. To explain this and we must understand that this was under the Old Covenant which is no longer in force today…keep that in mind. 15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts…” (Rom 2:14,15).I agree with you Pastor Jack, that the Law is the 10 Commandments, and I believe, it is summed up in Steven’s comment also(Re Mat 22:33-40), that we should love the Lord our God with all our mind, heart and strength and Love thy neighbor as thyself…this is the broader summation of the 10 Commandments, and it is the “Law” the Bible talks about which will(in NT times, ie, the New Covenant) be written upon our hearts. For what it’s worth, the church discipline section is usually removed from its context. I think that we cannot take Leviticus laws and try to say that this is the law that Jesus was talking about.I meant Jesus is, not was, but is our example.Bible Verses, Quotes, Christian Answers, Songs and More“24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Some people use this quote to say that the Old Testament laws are still valid, but I think that Matthew 22:34-40 explains what the laws are.
Let me only add here that, though they are not forbidden to rule their bondmen with rigor, yet the Jewish doctors say, “It is the property of mercy, and way of wisdom, that a man should be compassionate, and not make his yoke heavy upon any servant that he has.”Thank you Doc.
Even to Godly people. We have to be willing to trust God and have faith in Him even when we do not understand His ways.We are saved only by the Grace of God.
Regarding: Which version of the Bible should Christians use? Please read Leviticus 19 because I believe most of these laws of God are still relevant today because they fulfill the commandment to love our neighbor as ourself.I have heard that verse about, “where two or three are gathered” so many times in prayer services that I had forgotten its context. You can try and then leave it up to God. A context is the way a certain word or phrase is being used.
Thank you sir.James is simply stating that there is fake faith and real faith. Do you mean the nations that were evil or the Israel people? ICE was in there doing their work in a safe, controlled, environment.
Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the LORD your God” (Deuteronomy 20:16-18). It seems like this is a great example of a passage that is ambiguous enough that people read into it whatever they want it to say. Let me tell you that the nations that God destroyed, one for example, was one that burned their children in the first as children sacrifices…the Assyrians skinned their enemy while still alive and let them die slow deaths….the enemies of Isreal always had such horrible idolatrous worship tendencies that we so terrible that I cannot even describe what they did to their enemies and their own children! Let me say that you bring up a good point. I am not trying to question you, but just curious.Have been sorta distressed for a month or so by comments from siblings in Jesus on Facebook.
We have federal law, we have state law. THREE EXAMPLES OF QUOTES OUT OF CONTEXT — PART 1 The news media spend lots of time telling us who we should vote for. You’ve gone through a lot, too, although it’s becoming quite popular what you’re doing. And we are thus to rejoice in the liberty we have by Christ.I enjoyed your quotes. take something/it as read. It’s so ridiculous. I know that I need men like you (and women too of course) to show me where I misquote and indeed I did and so I apologize to all…and my friend, thank you so very, very much for pointing out that one tiny word which can turn a truth into a heresy. He is also not living up to the command that follows, for the husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church, and willingly died for her, so he is breaking this command and God will require it of him on judgment day.
