You’ll want to keep doing what you’re doing! I only started shooting Portra 800 last year, when looking for more speed for underwater photography, but expanded the use shortly after that. $9.99 Kodak Portra 400 120mm Add to cart.
I also found the results out of the Noritsu to be quite impacted by the slight yellowish-orange cast this scanner is quite well known for.In reality, I can’t think of a single image I’ve taken with this film that I’ve even negatively contemplated the grain in the final image. As a result of this, I can be fairly confident in saying that the exposure wouldn’t have been nearly as consistent as my first roll. Scanning this roll, the colours seem to pop how I like them really easily, and that was despite the fact that I’d shot it with a 1940’s lens. It’s a way to compensate for under exposure by adjusting the time the film is in the developing chemicals, and will make the film appear brighter with more contrast and more color saturation.Kodak Portra 800 will give you more saturated colors than either Portra 400 or Portra 160.
What is your question about processing?
Not favorite ISO 800 color film, but favorite color film period. With some careful exposure and scanning, even with very high contrast scenes, I was able to pull stacks of shadow detail with very little detriment to the image quality.
A History of Kodak Portra.
I was very impressed indeed.Prior to shooting Portra 800, my biggest concern or sense of limitation with regard to this film was its higher speed. When the film was first created, it was offered in speeds of 160, 400, and 800, and since then Kodak has introduced new qualities and capabilities, while continuously keeping these three film speeds in their lineup. Amazon.com: 800 film.
I love the softness I can get with Kodak Portra 800 shot indoors at low light.
Kodak Portra 160 120mm . I have found Portra 800 pushed one stop is a wonderfully […]A couple of rolls later I decided I should give Portra 800 a run for its money in lower light. I participated in an exposition last month, and all my entries were Portra 800 (in an all digital expo).Actually, now I’d got to grips with my scanning processes, what really interested me when I scanned this roll is that I found it much easier to get the more saturated colours I like. $42.85. The Best & Only 800 Speed C-41 out there. My first go has been with Lomo 800 (which I think might be Kodak of some variety) which I have so far enjoyed very much.
Kodak Portra 800 is quite possibly my favourite colour negative film. It isn’t as low light friendly as the 800 ISO might suggest. !It does tend to struggle in low light, though. The 28-70 lens was a little lower-contrast and not quite as high resolution as a lot of the lenses I normally shoot. Fujifilm Fujicolor Pro 400H Color Negative Film ISO 400, 120mm, 5 Roll Pro Pack (Discontinued by Manufacturer) 4.5 out of 5 stars 101. It works pretty well too when push processed 1 stop, although sometimes it isn't needed. I’d really like to see what you do with it – looking back, I wish I’d known about it sooner.
