Would all those friends really cover it up?Additionally, the car the dog "hit on" was rented 25 days after Madeleine was abducted. If not THE top? Cadaver scent takes 1.5-3 hours to appear on a new body, meaning for an intruder to have been culpable they would have to have killed her, chilled for 1.5-3 hours, and Do you really think if a kidnapper caused bleeding, that he would care about it?I actually made a post with the exact same question the other day and was heavily downvoted. ... Is it possible that the Cadaver dogs have indeed detected the smell of death in the apartment, but from the perpetrator who was in there and left it behind rather than a body? That makes me wonder, if there were ever any bodies in the apartment or car, is that what Eddie picked up on? I get that this is a concern with cadaver dogs in general. Not bonkers. I always thought this was significant, and possibly the abductor was in the apartment already at that time. The dog alerts may just be an error.Exactly , dogs make mistakes , it’s not 100 reliable, sometimes it can help and work , but most times is just not accurateWhat about the route the sniffer dogs took around the apartment to a nearby car park ? It’s very interesting.Sorry, nit pick, 800 years isn't prehistoricI agree it’s odd and inexplicable. It was photographed at the scene. If I understand your question correctly.....What do you all think? But the officer keeps standing near it and calling the dog back... until finally the dog alerts a scent. On a serious note. Wouldn't there be more visible blood?
These dogs are never wrong.... except in this case where apparently every supporter of the parents have an explanation.
I'd love to try and find out more information about it.I get the skeptics somewhat-- When I heard about the dogs, I thought how could it be reliable? So what was the f'n point?Gerry says that the door to the children's room was open wider than they left it when he came to check at around 9.
However this type of canine evidence is reliable - and those dogs in particular had some stunning successes.
That's the problem-- their skill levels can vary so greatly, and there can be some handlers that are awful.
Portuguese police assisted by dogs search for missing 3-year old British girl Madeleine McCann the day after she vanished. When dealing with a small enough or poor enough quality sample you're likely to get a match to damn near anyone you compare it to.It is not evidence.
It doesn't mean the McCann's murdered Maddie necessarily either-- it just means cadaverine (sniffed by Eddie) was in those areas, and blood (Keela). They told my father that once they and their best good cadaver boy were out near Prescott Arizona searching for a woman who had gone missing while hiking. He used 2 dogs, Keela and Eddie. They searched the apartment the McCann's stayed in and the car they'd rented.we saw that they proved skeptics wrong when they were able to pass a test, correctly alerting to the right spot where the police had previously placed blood.I forget in which episode it was said, but the point was made that once there are more than 3 people involved, the likelihood of someone coming clean increases dramatically. I was watching the new Netflix documentary on Madeleine McCann's disappearance, hoping that since it was such a nice, well researched compilation of all the case's information, that it would finally clear up the debate about if the sniffer dogs could be considered accurate evidence. Nope.
Scroll down for more. And yes they are trained to find scents/blood/whatever and they have far more success than humans. What they led them to may have been the product of a human death/transport of a human body, but the samples recovered would be the evidence. It could all just be the places he spent a bit of time in. Wrong!Yeah in terms of the car it was like he was being forced there bt didn't he detect that doll abd shirt pretty quickly? If the perpetrator had killed and been around death sometime before the abduction, would the smell of it stick to clothes or footwear and would it transfer if said person had been hiding in a wardrobe in the apartment for example?I think it’s much more likely the dogs just falsely alerted. I don’t understand much about that area but looking at the videos I see the man instructing them where to smell, I think that’s normal.
It seems a lot more likely that she was traffickedI know this has been discussed millions of times. Atleast some of the locations could make sense - he could have hid in the closet when he realised Gerry was coming (if it was big enough), could have touched cuddle cat when he took Maddie.
