Premier Mark McGowan has today announced the first allocation of grants from the Lotterywest $159 million COVID-19 Relief Fund, which goes towards helping Western Australians experiencing hardship. As the needs of the WA community relating to COVID-19 evolve, the Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund is evolving too. Established in late March, $5,976,891 in grants have been provided to support crisis and emergency relief across the State. Lotterywest’s direct grants program is now responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, and will now allocate all profits previously assigned to a direct grants budget into the newly created COVID-19 Relief Fund.
