You can move around in them with no issue. For the sake of reporting, I decided that I need to try other cuts of jeans, since I’m sure not everyone wears skinny jeans (otherwise there would only be skinny jeans).I actually liked how they opened around my ankle and I think that’ll look great with flats or block heels during the spring. (One of the few styles that come in tall!)
Everlane differentiates its jeans with transparent pricing and more responsible factories. But I don’t have all day here. Women. ) The 90’s cheeky, on the other hand, is similar, but definitely a classic 80’s “Mom jean” fit––both are straight, but the 90’s fit is more relaxed. Eryn. Let me know if you have any questions about any other pairs or any of the pairs I’m wearing here!Verdict: These jeans are worth it for summer, but if you have thighs, you may need to go up a size or two for the best fit.Verdict: Back to Everlane they go.Verdict: I’m debating throwing them in the washing machine to loosen them up, but I haven’t decided yet.
Does that strike fear into the heart of anyone else? Despite 3,000+ glowing reviews, these jeans were a miss for me. But here’s the weird thing: as I was reading the reviews, a decent handful of people said that they stretched out over the day. This fabric is designed to have a better air flow during the summer and be much more wearable during summer heat. It’s really cute and adds a nice tough to the jean. Still, after seeing 90s style jeans everywhere, I grabbed Everlane's cheeky straight jean to try.
It’s SO helpful! The fit is also good. Again, I’m 5’6 for height reference and there isn’t a massive difference between the two on me–the difference in length is about 2 inches! For whatever reason, I feel like the “regular length” on the 90’s cheeky appears more significant than the “regular length” on the cheeky straight (although per the website, they have the same inseam). I tried to replace them, but when they ripped again, I just completely gave up. I tried a number of Everlane's most popular jeans – here is a review of every style I've tried. ) and when I told them I wanted to do a big ole jeans review, they were so on board!! It was a little big surprising and not what I was expecting based on all of the positive reviews. Officially launching today, the jeans collection is comprised of both men’s and women’s styles, with the latter including high-rise skinny, mid-rise skinny, and boyfriend fits. The only thing I’m really iffy about is how the jeans made my hips look a little bit bigger than I was use to. Good denim is notoriously hard to find. However, I think it’s important to note that the reason they still look new isn’t JUST the amazing quality, but also because I never wash my jeans unless I HAVE to. Now, these jeans claim to have a touch of stretch, but I would put them at zero stretch. So for this post, I decided to do things a little differently. Since I already knew I liked this cut, I knew that I had to test this theory out again.Verdict: Keeping and go buy yourself a pair! ) Okay, I think that’s it for my denim related announcements. After reading some of the reviews from December that the summer jeans being put out this winter seemed to have bigger thighs, I thought why not order them again? Now let’s talk button fly. Basically keep going up until you find a size where you can move around in. (We just renewed our contract again through this summer!
Everlane does not carry petite sizes, but they do have “ankle” length, which will likely hit many of my shorties as full length. I think this “vintage blue” wash is a little softer than the dark indigo wash below, even though they are technically the same material! I will attest to the quality of Everlane jeans and have owned some of my pairs going on 3+ years now. The raw hem at the bottom is nice also, because then if you need to shorten it more, you don’t need to worry about the hem.For this to be a true scientific experiment, I would have had to try on multiple dark washes in multiple cuts. )This is where we should talk about the jeans material though. I personally think these don’t have AS much give as the blue denim. But how's the fit? I’m going to read through some more reviews to see what people think. Now back to the zipper issue. Well, first, if you have thighs (like I do), don’t size down. February 10, 2020 / 10:32 pm. I’m hoping that styling the jeans differently may offset that. However, all things considered, the jeans are still just as comfortable and stretchy.
